Virtium Technology Inc., an eminent manufacturer of various memory and storage products for specialized computers in demanding environments, recently unveiled the DDR3, 0.72-inch Very Low Profile (VLP), unbuffered DIMM module. With this launch, it added a new and an updated product to its family of DDR3 memory products for embedded systems. The newly released memory product is ideal for space-constrained applications in embedded computing for the next-generation products in AdvancedTCA (ATCA) and MicroTCA (MTCA), as well as various other applications that require the blade server form factor. The company has made available Module densities of up to 2GB for engineering evaluation.
