Patriot Xporter Magnum 64GB Flash Drive really is a great all in one drive no matter what data you have to store, and you can be sure you will have enough speed and space. Its price is the only big downfall of this drive. With a MSRP of $150, you can buy a 1 TB hard drive for less than this. Though it is a fair margin larger than other flash drives, its not overly large.

EMC logoAt this week’s EMC World conference in Las Vegas, officials from the company pointed to two major storage trends as changing the future of the business - enterprise flash drives and cloud storage. In five to ten years, experts predict that these two technologies will lead to faster, more efficient storage, and highly scalable Web-based platforms that reduce demand on datacenters.

At the show, CEO Joe Tucci spoke optimistically about both technologies. He called flash “the one thing that will change the storage industry more than anything else over the next 10 years.” He also promised that Maui, the software component of EMC’s future cloud storage offering, would start shipping this summer.
